The Chairman of Karachi Port Trust will be responsible for leading, managing, and supervising the overall operations, administration, and development projects of KPT as per the provisions of the Karachi Port Trust Act, 1886. The role involves strategic decision-making, high-level coordination, and ensuring compliance with maritime policies and international port standards. The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in management, leadership, and preferably port operations.
Educational Qualification:
Master’s degree from an HEC-recognized university in one of the following fields:
Management
Administrative Sciences
Social Sciences
Natural Sciences
Engineering
Information Technology
MBA or MPA
Experience:
Minimum of 9 years of post-qualification experience at an executive level in a reputed public or private organization.
At least 5 years of senior management-level experience.
Port management experience will be preferred.
Age Limit:
Maximum age limit is 62 years on the closing date of the application submission.
Remuneration & Other Facilities:
Pay equivalent to Management Pay Scale-I, along with benefits as per KPT Act, 1886.
Duration of Contract:
The tenure will be as per the rules and provisions defined in the Karachi Port Trust Act, 1886.
Nationality:
Only Pakistani nationals are eligible to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the operations of Karachi Port Trust.
Ensure efficient execution of port development projects.
Formulate strategies to improve port efficiency, safety, and trade facilitation.
